PTS is located in the centre of Dehra Dun, a city of about 4,50,000 people, and the capital of the state of Uttarakhand. With its proximity to the Himalayas, the Ganga and the Yamuna rivers, and the holy centres of Hinduism such as Rishikesh and Haridwar, Dehra Dun is a favourite destination for tourists and pilgrims alike. The moderate climate, the usually peaceful political situation, and its serene natural beauty draw many to settle in this city. Dehra Dun is the home of many nationally and internationally known institutions and organizations such as the Forest Research Institute, Indian Military Academy, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, National Institute for the Visually Handicapped, Indian Institute of Petroleum, Survey of India, etc. The region is most well-known for educational institutions such as Doon School, Welhams, Woodstock, and a number of other elite schools. Several Christian organizations also have their headquarters in Dehra Dun.
Dehra Dun is well connected by road and rail. The city is about 250 km north of New Delhi. Rajpur Road is a main street going through the heart of the city to Rajpur town in the direction of Mussoorie. About 3 km from the railway station, and about 10 km from the ISBT is the Clock Tower, from where Rajpur Road begins. The Seminary is situated about 1 km from the clock tower. Approaching from the clock tower, after St. Joseph’s Academy on the right side, and just before Yeti restaurant on the left, there is a road that leads to Morrison Memorial CNI Church. Go around the Church to your left, and then straight. The Seminary campus is not visible from Rajpur Road).
